10 years ago, I was diagnosed with depression, which was linked to my divorce and grieving for a fourteen year marriage. Slowly and gently, I started to rebuild my life, but with much more intention and experimentation, and lots more fun. I first heard about the power of breath through yoga, hiking and running. This took me on a journey of discovery about what my body and mind can do. From walking the Camino Frances (900km across Spain) to the wild Outer Hebrides backpacking 230km from south to north over the ten islands in my barefoot trainers, to smaller 24 hour 50 mile race hikes across the AONB in Shropshire. Breathing became an inspiration and a title for a creative poetry book #breathing I published in 2020, and as I delved deeper into what’s most important to me I discovered Oxygen Advantage and was immediately inspired by its simple philosophy, easy to understand exercises all underpinned by proper science. I feel calmer, more focused and much more alive.
I've spent nearly two decades leading projects that create positive change, whether in the creative industry or within local communities. My journey has shown me that the most powerful transformations start from within. Now, as a certified Oxygen Advantage coach and a trainee counsellor, I combine my project leadership skills with my passion for breathwork to help people and organisations achieve their goals—one breath at a time.
